If I could start playing guitar all over again...

I would. But I would do it differently, I'd actually get guitar lessons at the beginning and work my way up and playing with a band sooner. Learning timing and music theory is a must!

Fingers are sore from playing guitar

Ever have a long band session where your fingers start to hurt? Man my fingers are inflamed right now. I think if I play through it again tomorrow, all will be well. Gotta keep playing guitar!!
